Privacy Policy

The short version: the app does not collect your personal data. No account is required, and there are no ads, no analytics trackers, and no data brokers. Your preferences live on your device and stay there.
What we collect
Nothing. The current version of the Hightop Sports app has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not collect, store, sell, or share personal information, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Data that stays on your device
Some features remember things so the app works the way you left it. All of it is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us:
- Your content preferences (sports you follow, alert topics, and your Daily Chomp hour).
- Saved stories, players you follow, weekly picks, trivia results, streaks, and points.
Deleting the app deletes this data.
Network requests the app makes
To show you live content, the app requests data from:
- Our own service (hightopsport.com) — news, rankings, recruiting, transfer portal, and staff content.
- Public sports data sources — the official University of Florida athletics roster feed (floridagators.com) and ESPN's public scoreboard and athlete data.
- Image delivery networks that host article and player photos.
Like every request on the internet, these carry standard technical information such as your IP address. We do not use that information to identify you, build profiles, or track you across apps or websites.
Links that leave the app
Videos open in your browser on YouTube, and the shop opens our external store. Once you leave the app, the privacy policy of the service you land on applies.
Children
The app is rated 4+ / Everyone. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, we collect none from children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app adds features that change what data is handled — for example accounts, push notifications, or subscriptions — we will update this policy before those features ship and note the new effective date at the top of this page.
